The musical
The colorful musical, with its many classics songs, moves you back to 70s New York with its sparkling hot discourse rhythms and party life. Here you will find fantastic dance numbers, the disco ball, the white clothes, the hip wrap and the flared trousers. But there is also room for the suburban's tough everyday life and the constant struggle to survive - at least until the next day.
Everything is in place when the successful musical Saturday Night Fever comes to China Theater in a new, lavish Swedish original production with a great focus on the love for dance. At the head of a star-packed and rare hard-swinging ensemble, we meet David Lindgren as Tony Manero, Andreas Lundstedt as the disc jockey Monty and in the role of Tony's mother and father you see Suzanne Reuter and Samuel Fröler. The female lead Stephanie Mangano is played by Kristina Lindgren. On stage you also see Sweden's best dancers selected by Bounce choreographer Jennie Widegren. Anders Albien is responsible for directing and Swedish translation.
